How MarOps Lab handles personal data submitted through this website.

Who is responsible for your data
MarOps Lab is a practice operated by Osama Tahir, based in Dublin, Ireland. MarOps Lab is the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

What this website collects
This website has one place where you can submit personal data: the enquiry form on the Contact page. That form collects:
- first name
- last name
- company name
- email address
- your enquiry — the “How can I help?” message
The form also presents two separate tick boxes, both unticked by default:
- consent to MarOps Lab storing and processing the information you submit, so that your enquiry can be answered;
- an optional, separate consent to receiving other communications from MarOps Lab.
Nothing else on the site asks for personal data. There is no account, no login and no newsletter sign-up form.
Why it is collected
The information you submit is used to read and respond to your enquiry, and to continue that conversation if it leads somewhere. That is the only purpose.
It is processed on the basis of the consent you give when you submit the form, and because responding to an enquiry is what you asked MarOps Lab to do. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing otahir@mymarops-lab.com.
Marketing communications are a separate choice
Sending an enquiry does not, by itself, add you to a marketing list. The form includes a separate, optional tick box — “I agree to receive other communications from MarOps Lab” — which is unticked by default. Marketing communications are sent only if you tick it.
If you tick it and later change your mind, say so at otahir@mymarops-lab.com and you will be removed.
Who processes it
The enquiry form is provided and hosted by HubSpot. When you submit the form, the information goes to HubSpot, where it is stored and managed so that I can respond. HubSpot acts as a processor on behalf of MarOps Lab; its privacy notice is at legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy(opens in a new tab).
The website itself is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard technical request information — such as IP address and browser user agent — in order to serve pages and to keep the service secure and available.
If you accept analytics (see below), Google and Microsoft process that analytics data as processors on behalf of MarOps Lab. Their privacy notices are at policies.google.com/privacy(opens in a new tab) and privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement(opens in a new tab).
If you email directly instead of using the form, that message is handled by the email provider for the mymarops-lab.com domain.
Analytics and cookies
Analytics on this site is off by default. On your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics. Nothing analytics-related loads, runs or sends any data unless you choose Accept analytics; choosingReject analytics means none of it ever loads.
If you accept, the site loads:
- Google Tag Manager — the container that loads the two tools below;
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate measurement: which pages are viewed, how visitors move through the site, roughly where visits come from, and broad device and browser information;
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymised interaction and session data, such as clicks, scrolling and navigation patterns, used to see where the site is confusing or broken.
These tools set cookies and similar identifiers in your browser only after you accept. They are used to understand and improve how the site works — never for advertising, remarketing or building a marketing profile of you — and there is no site-wide HubSpot tracking.
You can change your mind at any time: use the Cookie settingslink in the footer of any page to accept or reject analytics again. Rejecting stops the tools loading on your next page view.
Separately, HubSpot may set a cookie needed for the enquiry form itself to function when you use the Contact page.
How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a returning enquiry has context. They are not kept indefinitely. If you ask for your data to be deleted, it is deleted.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, to withdraw consent, and to receive it in a portable form.
To exercise any of these, email otahir@mymarops-lab.com. Your request will be answered without undue delay.
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission atdataprotection.ie(opens in a new tab).
Changes to this policy
This policy is updated when the website’s behaviour changes — for example if a measurement tool is added, removed or changed, or if the consent choices change. The date at the top reflects the most recent update.
